Stefan Hoyer

Stefan is the Founder of Hoyer Investment Company, LLC, a Miami-based land banking, entitlement, and development company. Stefan's core business is the acquisition, entitlement, and development of raw land for the future development of single-family homes by large, generally publicly traded, national homebuilders.
During the economic downturn in 2008, Stefan began purchasing land with the business plan of finishing all entitlements and infrastructure before selling to national home builders, including DR Horton, PulteGroup, and Standard Pacific Homes. After initially focusing his efforts within Florida, Stefan shifted the focus of his business to the Coastal Carolinas, specifically to the Charleston market. With the assistance of DR Horton, Stefan was able to quickly gain initial market knowledge and penetrate the area. As a result, Stefan is currently involved in sixteen transactions in the Charleston market alone.
By expanding on and accommodating the needs of national homebuilders, Stefan has led HIC to provide land banking services to many of the nation’s largest homebuilders, including DR Horton Homes, Lennar Homes, and NVR Homes. Quickly aligning with the interests of national homebuilders allows HIC the unique opportunity to leverage the in-depth market knowledge of these companies and use this leverage to gain specific market insights, while at the same time independently verifying financial calculations and deal points.
Stefan is from Denmark. After moving to the United States in 1996, he began his career in the hospitality industry. Soon after, he became employed by Swire Properties in Miami, continuously expanding his knowledge of the real estate industry and eventually focusing his efforts and expertise on the development of HIC Land.
